The number of grant applications we received to fund collaborative teaching grants more than doubled from the previous round of grants. The number of students taking college courses in high school through dual credit classes grew 142% over the past five years, and the number of credit hours they’re taking doubled, which means a greater need for textbook scholarships.
We have more students, more needs, more great teaching ideas to challenge those students, but less state funding. The extra resources and funds that LEEF provides to our schools is more important now than ever before.
