LEEF supports Leander ISD entrepreneurial programs

LEEF currently supports the INCubatoredu program at Vista Ridge High School and Vandegrift High School. We’re excited to help expand the opportunity to students in middle and elementary school this upcoming school year.

The Uncharted Learning programs provide a student entrepreneurial experience with “the entrepreneurial content, skills and knowledge, behaviors, and mindsets mapped to grade levels. The freshINCedu and mxINCedu programs lay the foundation for entrepreneurship at the elementary and middle school levels. INCubatoredu and MobileMakersEdu at the high school level enable a more advanced business start-up experience.”

The Vista Ridge High School INCubatoredu team, Walk Thru (pictured above), was chosen as one of the top five out of 165 schools and around 15,000 students from around the world. The team won the 2020 National Pitch competition and received full funding to continue their journey. Watch how they’re changing the definition of retirement here.

The Vandegrift High School INCubatoredu team, INDUS, was a top five team as well. Their idea, face masks using natural Ayurvedic skincare, was pitched at the national competition where they answered questions and shared details about their plans.

That’s right, 2 out of the top 5 teams this year were comprised of Leander ISD students. Incredible!

Take a moment to think about the skills that have elevated your career. Creativity, problem solving, public speaking, teamwork and resilience – just to name a few. These skills transcend industries and occupations – they’re life skills that every student deserves the opportunity to develop, and that’s why LEEF supports these programs financially and through volunteerism.
