Student Teacher Academic Recognition (STAR) Banquet
In the spring, LEEF holds the STAR banquet honoring 25 outstanding seniors from each of LISD’s high schools and gives them the opportunity to recognize an influential teacher in their academic career. These seniors take the stage to brag about their teacher and the ways they’ve been mentored and challenged by these teachers. The STAR Banquet is a wonderful event honoring LISD teachers that go above and beyond.

Teacher Recognition Campaign
The Campaign gives families the opportunity to thank their outstanding teachers by making a donation to LEEF in their name. In return, the Foundation works with school principals to award each of those teachers with a certificate of achievement, note from the donor family, and goody bag. Most rewarding for us, is the chance to hear from families throughout LISD about the amazing work teachers are doing for our students.
